Avon located in Hendricks County roughly five miles west of Indianapolis and close to the Indianapolis Airport. Avon is the newest town in Hendricks County and one of the fastest growing towns in Indiana. Having two major highways US 36 and SR 267 help popularize and enlarge the community. Avon has many businesses which are still growing today. Town development increased because of such a great educational system, with access to a great public library (Avon-Washington Township Library).
